In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Agnes Alice Mariakaki

Research Psychologist, Mind Research

Agni Mariakaki is a Psychologist and Social Researcher. She has postgraduate specialization in trauma management and communication, having studied in England, the Netherlands and America. He has run research firm MindSearch since 1996, and has conducted research for over 300 brands in more than 15 countries. She has been awarded by Google for the app Questory, participated in the interuniversity research team that created the MAMEM technology to support people with disabilities, and her book is for the third year on the list of Self Help Best Sellers. Integral members of her team are three wise cats.

Charis Tzortzakis

Actor

Haris Tzortzakis is an actor. Born in Piraeus in 1985, he studied Physics at the University of Ioannina but abandoned his studies in the fourth year to pursue acting. She graduated with honors from the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory in 2010. He has participated in many important performances and has worked with renowned Greek and foreign directors at the National Theatre, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival as well as in the free theatre, along with important participations in television series and short and feature films. Since 2023 he is the artistic director of the "EKATO-Michael Cacoyannis Foundation" Theatre School. He is also the owner and inspirer of Yoga Retreat Hotel Evia Silence. She is a frequent contributor to the printed and electronic press and has published a children's book. He is the father of two children, Olga and Stavros.

Danai Lazaridi

Senior Interior Architect

Danai Lazaridi is a partner of the architectural office Block722 since 2018. As Senior Interior Architect of Block722 architects for 6 years, she was a key member of the interior design department of the studio. With over 13 years of experience in the field, she has gathered in her CV a number of projects, including residential and large-scale hospitality projects, both in Greece and abroad. With passion and curiosity for travel, she is fascinated and inspired by the different cultures and the uniqueness of each tradition.

Dimosthenis Kalteziotis

Managing Director at Praksys S.A

Demosthenes was born and raised in Tripoli. He graduated in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and did a Master's degree in Business Administration in the USA. After his studies he was involved in the steel production industry at the company SIDENOR of the VIOHALCO group. Since the mid-90s it has designed a series of innovative steel products of high added value, establishing the technology of "industrial prefabrication" and contributing decisively to the economy and acceleration of the construction of technical projects. Since 2004 he is the CEO and shareholder of PRAKSY S.A., a subsidiary of SIDENOR, which is the technological R&D arm of the group. He holds 2 international patents for the SYNTHESIS technology, which he exported with great success to several countries abroad (Singapore, Australia, Israel) and for which he won in 2013 the 1st Made in Greece award from the Hellenic Marketing Academy in the field of Technology.

Evina Maltsi

Former International Basketball Player

Evina Maltsi was born and raised in Goumenissa, Kilkis. She is an Olympic champion basketball player who played in Greece and abroad for about 30 years, reaching the other side of the Atlantic and playing in the enchanting world of the WNBA. Evina is considered one of the top European basketball players of her generation and holds until today the record for points and participations with the National Women's Team of our country. Today she is the head coach of Antetokounbros Academy and responsible for the promotion of women's basketball in the Hellenic Basketball Federation. A graduate student of the Hellenic Physical Education Association and a certified mentor of athletes with an emphasis on sports psychology, Evina envisions through sports to contribute to the creation of a more equal and solidarity-based society.

Konstantinos Gousias

Professor & Director of Neurosurgery

Konstantinos Gousias is an internationally recognized expert in brain and spinal cord tumor surgery. He has been selected in the 15-member surgical oncology committee of the European Society of Neurosurgery (EANS) and is certified by the German Academy of Neurosurgery as an expert in surgical neuro-oncology and brain surgery under neuro-supervision. Konstantinos Gousias, 45 years old, has achieved something almost impossible even for Germans. At the age of 36 he became associate professor of neurosurgery at the University of Bonn. A year later he became deputy director of a clinic at Bochum University Hospital. After two years he was offered a position as head of neurosurgery for brain tumors at Marburg University Hospital. And shortly afterwards he took a position as clinic director at the Lenen Academic Hospital, part of the University of Münster. Now, he is proud to have returned to his homeland.

Sofia Stefanopoulou

Interior Designer

Sofia Stefanopoulou is an interior designer at Block722 since 2019. She pursued her passion for interior design and industrial design after studying as a Mechanical Engineer. With over 10 years of experience, she has worked in small and large hotel projects, as well as in residences in Greece and abroad. With her active and constant interest in different cultures and her love for the Mediterranean and Nordic spirit and way of life, she aims to design quality and timeless spaces.

Speros Kokenes

Senior Software Engineer

Speros Kokenes is a software developer who has dedicated his career to pioneering in data analytics and visualization, transforming complex data into compelling narratives. He currently works at Google on advancing the next generation of data tools. Previously, Speros co-founded Knarr — a data analytics startup acquired by Qlik. He has been globally recognized, notably winning the top prize at the 2017 UN Data Hackathon. A Greek American with roots in Tripolis, Speros’ work makes complex data accessible and insightful. At TEDx Klonatzidika, he'll explore how visual data storytelling unlocks our brain's potential to address today's abstract challenges

Stefano Vafiadis

Yacht Designer

I was raised between Italy and Greece with the great passion for Boating, Architecture and Design. After the Master Degree in “Science of Architecture” and winning the prestigious award “Young Designer Of The Year” in 2013 by Boat International I designed then and built renown yachts for the most prestigious shipyards in Italy, Greece and Northern Europe such as Baglietto, Rossinavi and GoldenYachts. Currently I have in construction 10 projects from 40 mt up to 80 mt in 3 different countries with Owners from all of the world. Over the last years I had the honor of winning the Super Yacht Society “Leadership Award” and the “Honorary Award” from On Deck Magazine in Greece in 2019 and 2023.
