Dasha Navalnaya's "Lessons from my father, Alexey Navalny": Corrections & Updates
At TEDWomen 2023, activist Dasha Navalnaya referenced a survey conducted by her organization ACF, suggesting that "only 15 percent of the [Russian] population believe in Putin’s propaganda." In a social media post a year earlier by another ACF representative, the figure referenced was 14 percent, not 15 percent, with that figure representing the percentage of the Russian population who believe in Putin's propaganda about the war with Ukraine, not about his propaganda in general.
Surveys done by other organizations taken up to and when the talk was published contrastingly show significant popular belief in Russian state media, contradicting the findings from ACF. However, there is reason to believe that any polling of political sentiment in Russia may be greatly skewed.
