Sophie explores how surviving violent child abuse has shaped her into the person she am today. Autism was her shield and her strength from the toxic narcissistic and violent abuse. Her talk explains the positive and enchanting side to Autism, such as the unique sense if individualism which stopped her from absorbing her father’s toxic traits and behaviour. Sophie looks at the resilience we autistic people have against a world full of fear and the strength we have to truly be ourselves in a society that tries to fit us all into the same shape and box.
