A former professional soccer player, Fifi Baiden was born in Accra, Ghana. He came to California as a teenager and eventually founded the Fifi Soccer Foundation – a charitable organization that empowers orphaned children of Ghana through education and sport. Despite a challenging childhood, Baiden earned himself scholarships to the Dunn School and eventually to the University of California at Santa Barbara. Fifi recently wrote a book titled 'The Hope You Can Have', which highlights his personal and professional journey. In his talk, Baiden discusses a new perspective on hope, and how reimagining hope as a verb can change your life.
