ADHD is often left undiagnosed in women and girls for a multitude of reasons, both social and scientific. Outdated stereotypes of ADHD linger, leading some to believe that ADHD predominantly affects boys. Julia Hearne shares her personal story and discusses why minimizing the stigma around ADHD could increase the amount of girls that are diagnosed and treated.
