Alvaro Arenas

Alvaro Arenas is Professor of Information Systems at E Business School, IE University, in Madrid, Spain. He holds a D.Phil in Computation from Oxford University, UK. His research interests include digital innovation, information security, and the development and usage of computer-based information systems. His research has been published in journals such as the European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Journal of Business Research, and IEEE Computer, among others. Alvaro is very active in the European Research Area, having led several EU-funded projects (eLEAD, GridTrust, CoreGRID, XtreemOS) and acting as scientific advisor for several EU projects. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator for IE of the European project Digymatex, investigating the use of digital technologies by children and teenagers.

Erica is committed to redefining beauty norms by exploring the mirrored histories that shape our perceptions and celebrating the diverse tapestry of Kenyan culture.
Freddy Mutanguha
CEO Aegis Trust/ Kigali Genocide Memorial
Freddy Mutanguha, CEO of Aegis Trust and Director of the Kigali Genocide Memorial, leads peace education programs. Joining Aegis in 2004, he led the Kigali Genocide Memorial's construction and became Country Director in 2006. Freddy extends Aegis' work beyond Rwanda's borders, focusing on at-risk areas like the Central African Republic, South Sudan, and Kenya. Chair of Miracle Corner Rwanda, he empowers Rwandan youth with vocational skills. A survivor of Rwanda’s 1994 genocide, he received the Peace award from the Justice and Security Foundation in 2016. Freddy is recognized in the Atlanta Human Rights Museum for his activism. He co-founded AERG, Rwanda’s student survivors association, and served as vice-President of IBUKA. As an External Advisory Committee member of USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive, Freddy lectures globally on post-conflict reconstruction.

Ian Omar Mues Vargas is a 19-year old Philosophy, Politics, Law and Economics (PPLE) student in IE University, coursing his 1 st year within the Bachelor. He graduated high school as valedictorian, having participated in different school sport teams, clubs and directives; aside from doing over 200 hours in volunteer community services. A proud Puerto Rican, he enjoys the many attributes inherent to his culture: listening and making music, going to the beach, cooking (and eating) “comida criolla” and playing sports. Other prevalent hobbies include writing, reading, teaching, working out and spending time with his loved ones. Passionate about nature and society, he wishes to be an entity of positive change for Puerto Rico. His goals revolve around politics, with the additional vision of being an author and a high school teacher.
