AKARAKIM KRASAESOM

Hello, I’m Ake Akkarakhim Krasaesom, President of the Performing Arts Department, Faculty of Communication Arts, 4th year. Besides being a model, host, and content creator, I’m passionate about spreading positive energy and inspiring others through storytelling. At 22, I’ve faced many life challenges that have shaped me, and while people often say I’m strong, I’ve never really seen myself that way. I’m applying to be a TEDxBANGKOKU speaker because I believe this is the perfect stage to share my experiences, close a chapter of my university life, and hopefully inspire someone out there.

Born without arms and only one leg, she has overcome major health challenges, recently graduating Communication Arts. Her resilience and positivity inspire thousands, proving that true strength comes from within.

At just 20, Chaiwat is Thailand’s youngest parliamentary advisor and founder of History Plus, a platform reimagining Thai history learning with Generative AI & Metaverse tech. His work has gained recognition from TNN News & the Ministry of Education, shaping the future of education in Thailand 5.0.

Minh Duc Nguyen

Nguyen Minh Duc is a Vietnamese student majoring in Innovative Media Production at Bangkok University, supported by the 100% BU Creative Scholarship. Coming from a humble family, Duc grew up inspired by his mother’s hard work and belief in the power of education as the key to change lives. Living in Bangkok, a multicultural city, Duc has a deep appreciation for culture, arts and languages. Being fluent in Vietnamese, Thai and English, he enjoys sharing his skills as a freelance designer to encourage others to explore creativity in simple, everyday ways. He believes in the approachable yet powerful nature of creativity, where anyone can be creative and even small ideas can spark big changes. He is dedicated to using his work to inspire positivity and help others realize their creative potential.

NARAWAN PROMPRAKAI

Lecture and translator
Narawan Promprakai earned full scholarships from her BA to PhD, graduating with First-Class Honors in English from Bangkok University (2008), an MA from the University of York (2010), and a PhD in Linguistics from Newcastle University (2018). Despite her success, she struggled with the “smart kid” curse—feeling pressured to meet unrealistic expectations, which led to mental and physical distress during her PhD. Eventually, she shifted her focus from perfection to personal growth, realizing it’s okay to struggle and take her own path. Today, she’s a lecturer at Bangkok University and a digital media translator with work featured on major streaming platforms.

Gain is a 4th-year student and President of Digital Media & Film Arts, who took a gap year to work full-time. Experiencing the realities of the workforce changed how he viewed university stress and mental health. His talk challenges students to reassess their pressures and find balance in their academic journey.

My name is Nutthakun Wannaprapa. I am a third-year bachelor's degree student at the School of Engineering, Department of Computer and Robotics Engineering. By nature, I really enjoy reading books and listening to podcasts. TED Talks are my favorite. I have a dream of sharing interesting stories from the books I read with others because I believe that to truly understand something, I should try to explain or teach it to others. I learned this concept from the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People—it sounds like a win-win situation, haha!

August is the Producer & MD of Thibaan Studio and MD of Serng Music, known for bringing Isan storytelling to mainstream cinema. With The Undertaker (2023), a spin-off of Thibaan The Series, he redefines Thai-Isan horror comedy, proving that local stories can resonate with a global audience.

Mind is a graduate student leader and an international speaker at UNICEF, UN, and World Bank on disability rights. Through advocacy and volunteer work, she is dedicated to closing the gap between disabled and non-disabled communities, promoting inclusion, empathy, and mutual support.
