Theme: UNCHARTED

TEDXRUN is an independently organized TED talk where curiosity meets community, and in this case the community being members of Redeemer's University. TEDxRUN is a unique first of it's kind gathering in Redeemer's University aimed at unleashing new ideas in territories yet to be explored with the potential to inform and inspire. We intend to bring together a group of experts speakers and doers across a wide range of field to share new ideas.

Being the maiden edition of TEDx in Redeemer's University and syncing closely with the main objectives of TED Talks, we aim to address diverse revolutionary ideas in varying disciplines centralised towards the theme: "UNCHARTED".

Chimezie Imo

Actor and Producer

Chimezie Imo is a Nigerian actor and producer from Imo state, Nigeria. He had featured in films and TV series such as Kasala, MTV Shuga, Kasanova, Eyimofe, Blood Covenant, Otiti, Breath of Life, Everybody Loves Jennifer and many others. He was honored with the trailblazer award for his great impact in the film and movie industry at the 2024 Africa Movie Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA). Before this, he was nominated for Best Actor at the Future Awards 2020 and Most Promising Young Actor at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2020 for his role as a drug-addled teenager in "Nimbe" His performance as a sickle cell patient in "Choke" earned him a nomination as best actor at the Africa Movie Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2023 His exceptional performance as the lead character, Elijah, a religious lover boy living with asthma, in Prime Video’s first commissioned Nigerian film "Breath of Life" has gained him much international recognition.

He is passionate about achieving powerful and desirable results through creative and viral marketing solutions. Dayo Adedeji is an innovative and resourceful creative who together with his team at Dynasty Africa have partnered with a wide range of brands like Tiktok, inDrive, Temu, Prime Drink and many more…helping them increase engagements, reach, and drive sales. Dayo and his team at Dynasty Africa has also partnered with organizations like the Federal Ministry of Labour & Employment, NNPC, NACA and so on.

Deborah Johnson

Writer and Performance artist

Deborah Johnson is a writer and performance artist, She is an alumni of UNICEF poetry mediathon, a winner of British council's new narratives challenge, a winner of the "Doing things with Stories Global play off Contest" by the university of Art, Netherlands and Oxfam. She has lent her art to VOICE X the US Embassy for the creation of learning vignettes on mental health, and has worked in radio as a voice actor creating stories that highlight the problems faced by Nigerian youth. She is the 2022 winner of Abuja literary society and lagos international grand slam and a 2023 fellow under the see my world program. She is the 3rd runner up in the world poetry slam competition and a winner of the CChub creative economy grant. As a Rise African young storyteller, she creates video content, showcasing the sustainability of African cities. Deborah has graced necessary stages within and without Nigeria, using her poetry as a tool for advocacy.

Jesunimofe Henry-Adelegan

Humanitarian Activist and Artist

Jesunimofe is a final-year law student at Redeemer's University, with a passion for creating positive change. With her multifaceted expressions, Jesunimofe embodies the spirit of innovation, and change. As the founder of The Hand that Gives the Rose, a non-profit organization supporting underprivileged children, she has made a tangible impact on hundreds of lives over the past four years. Alongside humanitarian service, Jesunimofe has artistic talents in photography, where she excels as a visual storyteller amplifying marginalized voices. Jesunimofe's photography has earned her several awards, including Creative Fest Awards (2021), Black Creative Competition (winner), Runner-up Photojournalist of the Year, Campus Journalist Awards 2024. Recently, she was selected for a journalist student exchange program in Denmark. Jesunimofe is also the founder of Artxpression, an arts exhibition platform showcasing undergraduate students' artistic talents.

Olanrewaju Olumide

Lawyer and Private Wealth Advisor

Olanrewaju Olumide is the Managing Partner at Acuity Partners, a Private Client Advisory firm. He is a legal and financial advisor who works with individuals and families to structure their wealth, plan succession and grow their businesses across multiple generations. Olanrewaju is an alumnus of University of Lagos and IESE Business School. He is also a certified financial planning & private wealth advisor. He is happily married and blessed with two kids.

Precious Ibeh

Precious Ibeh is a multifaceted professional dedicated to inspiring and empowering brands and individuals to reach their full potential. As a Brand Strategist, Public Speaker, Event Host, Content Creator, and Travel Connoisseur, he brings a wealth of expertise and a unique perspective to every project he undertakes. Precious is the Creative Director at Precious Ibeh Concepts, a solutions-driven media company he founded to address challenges in branding and communications. With a robust career history, he has served as the Brand and Communications Manager at Kelkey Global Limited, Head of Brand and Marketing at Sumiffy, Brand Manager at Ithrive FX, and currently leads digital media strategies for The Creatives Island and Sucasa Realties. With over eight years of extensive experience in event hosting and public speaking, Precious Ibeh has established himself as a versatile and dynamic host and public speaker, adept at engaging diverse audiences across a wide range of events.

Tobe Ugeh

Content Creator and Influencer

Tobe Ugeh, known as Tobeszn, is a vibrant influencer from Delta State who has captured the hearts of many with his dynamic content. As a Meta ambassador, he shares lifestyle, fashion, and fresh takes on the Nigerian experience, highlighting the country’s beauty and diversity. While pursuing a law degree which he recently completed, his breakthrough came at Lagos Fashion Week 2019, where his bold style launched his influencer career. Now a trendsetter, he is a key voice for Nigerian youth. Tobeszn has evolved into a brand, collaborating with global names like Google, Coca-Cola, and Spotify. Beyond his stylish content, he is a strong advocate for mental health and body positivity, using his platform to inspire and address important social issues.

Victor Odulate

Lawyer and Poet

Victor Odulate (popularly called "Prof") legal expert, project manager, and multidisciplinary thinker with a passion for reimagining systems and optimizing processes. With a background in law, and particularly a penchant for intellectual property, he combines legal expertise with a deep interest in technology, sports, and global affairs. Beyond law, Victor is a published poet with five anthologies to his name and a co-host of the Chaos N CTRL football podcast, demonstrating his ability to merge creativity with analysis. His expertise in leveraging AI for efficiency, particularly in learning and content creation, highlights his belief in challenging conventional thinking.
