At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Hannah Bereznicki

Lecturer in Psychology, Deakin University
Hannah Bereznicki (PhD) explores the complex interplay between intergenerational trauma, shame, and the brain, focusing on how these dynamics shape how we behave, react, and relate. As a Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Deakin University, Hannah co-directs the Trauma and Shame stream within the CONNECT Research and Training Initiative. Hannah leverages her academic expertise and ADHD strengths to create, implement, and assess solutions to complex challenges. Hannah and her colleagues secured a grant from the City of Greater Geelong to launch Intergenerational Trauma Aware Geelong—a community-wide, systems-based approach to trauma, neuro, and shame awareness. Additionally, she co-led the development of a free online course, Trauma, Neuro, and Shame Awareness: Best Practice for Professionals, Organisations, and Communities, aimed at broadening understanding of behaviour to reduce conflict and enhance interpersonal connection.

Jem Fuller

Jem Fuller has lived a colourful, global life. From barefoot backpacker to corporate leader, fire-dancer and traditional tattooist, kindergarten teacher to motorcycle courier, masseuse and reflexologist, to labourer and travel consultant. For more than 12 years now, he has run his own executive leadership coaching practice and international retreat company in the Himalaya, Bali and Australia. He is a dedicated partner and father, who loves surfing and meditation. He is the author of the award-winning book, The Art of Conscious Communication, and can be seen delivering his TEDx talk on YouTube.

Jessica Connor Kennedy

Jessica Connor Kennedy, founder of The Travelling Dojo, began practising the Japanese martial art aikido in 2015. Aikido was developed with a principled purpose; to resolve conflict without physical or emotional violence. Jessica has studied with aikido masters on four continents and helped those with no aikido training safely and constructively handle emotionally charged interactions. With over 20 years of professional experiences as a facilitator, Jessica’s aikido practice has increased her ability to lead individuals and groups through conflict and grief to generative discussion and powerful connection. Her work spans regenerative organisational design, crisis response, stakeholder engagement and spiritual health. She is an advocate for experiential learning and, as a scientist and teacher, recognises that goals deeply important to society such as connection and diversity can’t be taught through words alone, rather that the body needs to be involved in the learning process.

Joey Remenyi, founder of seekingbalance.com.au, uses the case study of tinnitus and vertigo symptoms for how we can listen to the intelligence of our body and tune in meaningfully to bodily sensations—instead of being afraid of them. Joey is the author of Rock Steady: Healing Vertigo or Tinnitus with Neuroplasticity and Sensing Ground: Body Wisdom for Sensitive People to Feel Less Alone and More Alive (to be released January, 2026).
