In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Angela Zhang

Angela Zhang is a 9th grade student with a strong passion for mathematics, music, and artistic swimming. She loves participating in her community and aspires to make a positive and lasting impact wherever she goes. Outside of school, you can find her studing with friends, building legos, or immersing herself in a good horror mystery.

Hanseo Zhao

Hanseo is a high school student and a passionate advocate for the transformative power of music. She has a deep appreciation for how melodies can shape emotions, bridge cultures, and inspire change. Outside the spotlight, Hanseo is actively involved in academics, leadership, and community service, always seeking to create harmony both in sound and in life.

Ilya Gutov

Over the past decade, Ilya has dedicated himself to various aspects of the gaming industry across China and the APAC region, striving to bridge Western projects with Asian markets while supporting studios and tech startups. Through his commitment to collaboration and community engagement, he has developed valuable experience and connections that will benefit future initiatives in the gaming landscape.

Jane Suh

Jane is a Korean middle schooler, who is currently 12 years old, who looks forward to explore other peoples perspectives and ideas. She enjoys playing volleyball in her free time with her friends and enjoy baking as well! Joining TedX was an incredible and unforgettable experience that Jane will always cherish.

Jemerina Ji

Jemerina Ji from Hongkong, China enjoys all forms of activities to develope her own invaluable understanding of the world. She value every experience, which she believe are stages in the play of life that contributes to the understanding of the world and herself.

Matthew Thomson

An international literature teacher with a background in philosophy and a brain wired for motion, he brings energy and insight to everything from Shakespeare to neurodivergence. When not teaching, he's often found boxing, sailing, or asking far too many questions about how humans think and grow.

Min Liu

Min Liu is the cofounder and China Market General Manager of Able2Shine, a soft skills training platform dedicated to enhancing the communication, confidence, and leadership of Chinese students worldwide. A graduate of Tsinghua University, Min spent 16 years living and working in the U.S. before returning to Shenzhen, where her two children now attend an international school. Able 2 Shine offers English speech and debate courses both online and in person, and has helped over 1,500 students across China.

Minjun Kim

A Korean high school student who has a paradoxical love for both literature and science, MJ Kim explores the interdiciplinary boundaries between subjects that he thought could never meet. He believes that every human experience can be linked to every other human experience through considering different perspectives and wishes that people can do so as it may help them find their own interpretation of the world.

Mischka Kantharia

Mischka is a junior in a international private school. She enjoys spending her time travelling, writing, and playing the piano. Three words to describe her would be persistent, passionate, and collected.

Roy Kim

Roy Kim is a sophomore at QSI Shenzhen in China. Roy is from South Korea, and he has been attending international schools for the past five years. He is deeply passionate about chemistry and biology and is eager to broaden his understanding of their future implications and impact on society, driven by an enduring curiosity. Outside of academics, Roy enjoys spending time with his absurd yet hilarious friends.

Seth Hartman

Seth is a diligent high school student with a passion for mythology, optimism, astronomy, and humanitarianism. He believes in the power of a joint human effort, and how sometimes you need to rip the bandage off to get a better perspective. In his free time, he's usually playing D&D, writing his own fantasy novel, or not sleeping.

Wei Zhang

Wei Zhang was born an raised in China. He went to university and spent his first ten years of professional life in Canada as an electrical engineer then an entrepreneur in energy, renewable energy and energy management. He now runs his own company in the renewable energy sector in China.

William Kou

William is currently a sophomore in QSI Shenzhen. He has a passion in physics and sociology and likes to investigate into human nature and behavior. He hopes that his speech could inspire people to reflect on their environment and find the solution to their current challenges.
